Getting Started

How do I create my first roadmap?

After signing up, go to your dashboard and click 'New Project'. Fill in your project details, choose a URL slug, and you're ready to start adding features. Your roadmap will be live at roadmapr.com/your-slug immediately.

Can I import existing feature requests?

Currently, you'll need to manually add features, but we're working on import tools for CSV and popular platforms like Trello, Notion, and Linear. Contact us if you have specific import needs.

How do users submit feature requests?

Users can submit requests directly on your public roadmap page. You can also embed our widget on your website. All submissions require approval before going live, giving you full control over what appears publicly.

Features & Functionality

How does the voting system work?

Each user can vote once per feature (up or down). Votes are tied to email addresses, and users must verify their email to vote. The vote count updates in real-time and helps you prioritize features based on user demand.

Can I customize my roadmap's appearance?

Yes! Pro and Business plans include custom branding options like colors, logos, and custom domains. You can match your roadmap to your brand's look and feel.

What's included in the embed widget?

The widget is a lightweight JavaScript snippet that adds a floating feedback button to any website. Users can browse features, vote, and submit requests without leaving your site. It's under 20KB and works on any website.

How do changelogs work?

Create changelog entries for each project to announce new features, updates, and fixes. Users can subscribe to email notifications for updates. You can link changelog entries to specific features on your roadmap.

Pricing & Plans

What's included in the free plan?

The free plan includes 1 project, up to 50 features, basic analytics, and community support. It's perfect for testing RoadmapR with small projects or personal use.

Can I upgrade or downgrade anytime?

Yes! You can change your plan at any time from your billing settings. Upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer annual discounts?

Yes! Annual plans save 20% compared to monthly billing. Enterprise customers can also get custom pricing for multiple years.

What happens if I exceed plan limits?

We'll notify you when approaching limits. For features/projects, you'll need to upgrade to add more. For overage on votes or API calls, we provide grace periods before any restrictions.

Privacy & Security

How do you protect user data?

We use enterprise-grade security including SSL encryption, secure cloud hosting, and SOC 2 compliance. User data is never shared with third parties without explicit consent.

Can users delete their accounts?

Yes, users can delete their accounts anytime from their settings. This removes all personal data immediately. Project owners can also remove user data from their projects.

Where is data stored?

All data is stored securely in the United States using Supabase (built on PostgreSQL) with automatic backups and 99.9% uptime SLA.

Do you support GDPR compliance?

Yes, RoadmapR is GDPR compliant. We provide data export, deletion requests, and clear consent mechanisms. Contact us for data processing agreements.

What payment methods do you accept?
